RE:GAIN

YOUR INFORMATION. YOUR CHOICES.

Privacy policy

Updated September 15, 2026 · RE:GAIN app beta and website

RE:GAIN Performance Inc. operates RE:GAIN from Ottawa, Canada. This policy explains the information used to provide our training, nutrition, recovery and coaching features, and the choices available to you.

1. Information you provide

Account registration uses your email address and password. Our authentication provider manages password verification; RE:GAIN does not store a readable copy of your password in your profile. Account emails support confirmation, sign-in recovery and service administration.

Your account can include the profile details and goals you enter, such as your name, age, height, weight, fitness experience, equipment and training preferences. Depending on the features you use, it also contains workouts and exercise results, measurements, recovery and mobility entries, food and water logs, dietary preferences or restrictions, meal plans, and reminder settings. Health and fitness details can be sensitive. Enter only information you want RE:GAIN to use for these features.

Coaches can create client records, programs, notes, appointments, tasks and measurements, and import information they are authorized to use. Shared coaching features can contain messages, check-ins, intake answers, nutrition information and photos you choose to send. A coach is responsible for explaining their own use of information they collect and for obtaining the permissions they need.

Feedback you submit in the app includes your account identifier, written message, app version and screen name so the RE:GAIN owner can investigate. It does not automatically attach your photos or workout history. Support emails contain whatever you choose to send.

2. How we use information

When you use a signed-in app or website screen, RE:GAIN records your account’s first and latest visit, the most recent app and website visit times, and the app version. Approved RE:GAIN owners use these limited records, account signup and verification details, coach requests and submitted feedback to understand usage and identify support follow-ups. This does not collect page-by-page browsing history, precise location or device identifiers, and does not give owners a new view of your private workout or nutrition records. Activity records are deleted with your account. Older app versions do not report visits.

We use this information to operate your account, save and restore records, personalize the features you select, provide coaching connections, schedule reminders, respond to support and feedback, manage coach access, and protect the service. Dietary preferences help filter meal suggestions; reminder preferences and workout start times can help suggest a useful reminder time.

The current beta does not include third-party advertising SDKs or sell your personal information to advertisers. We do not use your account photos to train an AI model.

3. Photos, scanning and permissions

Camera and photo access are used when you choose to scan or add an image. On iPhone, workout-photo text recognition and meal-photo suggestions run on the device. Review suggestions before saving; they can be inaccurate. Information you choose to save then follows the storage rules for that feature.

Photos added in private Progress are held inside RE:GAIN on that device and excluded from RE:GAIN cloud sync. Keep any originals you need in your own library. Removing the app or changing devices can make the app copies unavailable.

A photo explicitly sent through coaching is uploaded to private service storage for the authorized connection. Device-local Progress photos are not automatically shared with a coach. You can manage camera and notification permissions in iPhone Settings.

4. Sharing with a coach and other people

Connecting with a coach requires an invitation and your confirmation. The app provides controls for supported progress sharing and optional coaching tools. Review these choices in My coaching. Ending a connection stops its ongoing access; it does not erase copies another person already exported or separately recorded.

When you use the phone’s Share sheet, information goes to the destination you choose and becomes subject to that destination’s practices. My updates remains a private progress journal. The public Community is a separate space: when you choose a public display name and confirm a post or reply, anyone can read it on the RE:GAIN app or website, including visitors without an account. Private workout, meal, coaching and progress history is never automatically published. Public content may be copied by others. You can delete your own posts and replies, report concerns and block members from your signed-in feed. Blocking does not prevent someone from reading public posts as a visitor. Reports are available to the RE:GAIN owner for moderation. Deleting your account removes its public profile, posts, replies, likes, blocks and reports from RE:GAIN; it cannot erase copies others have already made.

5. Service providers and online requests

Providers can process technical information needed to deliver, secure and troubleshoot their services, such as request times, network addresses and errors. Processing may occur outside your province or Canada, where different laws may apply. Access is limited by the purposes of the service and applicable provider terms.

The current beta uses device-scheduled reminders. Remote reminder delivery and paid member subscriptions are not active in this release. If we enable services that process additional device or purchase information, we will update this policy and the relevant choices before collecting it.

6. Website early access

If you join the website’s early-access list, we store the name, email, fitness goal, member or coach selection, device platform and submission date you provide. We use these details to manage your early-access request and contact you about RE:GAIN as described in the signup form. This list is separate from an app account. You can ask us to remove your signup by emailing the privacy contact below.

7. Storage, retention and deletion

App records are saved locally and, where supported, synced to your account when connected. A waiting or failed sync means another device may not have the latest changes. We retain active account information to provide your account and selected features until you remove it or request account deletion.

To delete your account, open More → Account & deletion in a build that includes this option, review the details, confirm your password and finish the deletion flow. If your installed build does not show the option, or you cannot sign in, contact us for help. Signing out or uninstalling alone does not delete the server account.

Confirmed deletion removes the account and its associated records from active RE:GAIN service systems, including shared coaching entries and uploaded media belonging to the deleted connections. The app also removes that account’s saved records and private Progress photos from the device performing deletion. Keep the saved deletion request and retry if interrupted. An anonymized receipt supports confirmation and recovery.

We cannot remotely erase copies on other offline devices, originals in your photo library, exports, or separate records created by a coach. Contact your coach about their copies. Website signup and support correspondence are separate records; include them in a deletion request if you want them removed too.

Provider backups and security logs may retain limited information until their normal retention periods expire. They are not ordinary active account records. Where a specific legal obligation requires retention, we limit it to the information and period required and explain any applicable exception when responding to your request. Deleting an account does not itself cancel an Apple subscription.

8. Your choices and rights

You can correct supported profile details, change nutrition and reminder preferences, manage coaching sharing and delete supported entries in the app. You may also request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information by contacting us. We may ask for enough information to verify that a request relates to your account; never send us your password. We respond in accordance with applicable privacy law.

Optional permissions and sharing can be withdrawn. Features that need the information may then be unavailable. If you have a concern, contact us first; you may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the relevant privacy regulator.

9. Safeguards and policy changes

We use authenticated account access, access controls and encrypted network connections for our service. No service or device can guarantee perfect security. Protect your email and device, and avoid sharing account credentials. We will update the effective date when this policy changes and provide additional notice or request consent where the change requires it.
